East Metro Women's Council was founded in 1989 and seeks to assist individuals with education/vocational training, affordable housing, childcare and transportation.

EMWC now operates four supportive housing programs that house more than 350 homeless women, men and children each year. We also provide outreach services to another 400 adults and children each year to help prevent them from becoming homeless.
